Preset configuration
The propagator is always run from a preset, which is managed in a separate editor. See Propagator Presets.
To access the Propagator Preset manager, click the
CONFIGURATION
button at the top left and select
Data Propagator.
You can also open the preset manager by clicking Edit in the Data Propagator run interface.
Run the Propagator
To run the Data Propagator, open the context menu for a document in the hierarchy and select Data Propagator.
Select a preset in the Presets dropdown selector.
The contents of the preset are displayed but they cannot be modified in this interface. Click the Edit button to open this preset for editing.
Click the Propagate button to run the Propagator operation.
In the New Revision Details dialog enter an explanatory Comment for the revision history, or select one or more Revision Tags to be applied to the revision in each of the modified destination documents. Note: each preset contains Comment and Revision Tags fields; these set default content which can be edited in this dialog when the preset is used.
The job will run in the background on the server. Use Notifications to monitor the job (there will be a progress bar), and click Export Log to get a detailed log, after the job is completed.
