Quorum Software product integration

Quorum Software Portfolio and Reserves can be configured to use the IPS Server authentication services, security management and licensing services (i.e., the same as used by Planning Space).

The information here covers only the changes needed for IPS Server. See the product documentation or contact Quorum Software Support for the configuration required in the Portfolio or Reserves software.

CORS setting

The essential setting is to configure IPS Server to accept cross-origin authentication requests from your servers that are running Portfolio or Reserves. In the IPS Manager, go to the Service screen (see Service configuration) and in the Advanced section edit the setting 'AllowedURLsForCrossOriginRequests' by adding the server address 'https://{QUORUM_PORTFOLIO_FQDN}:{PORT}' and/or 'https://{QUORUM_RESERVES_FQDN}:{PORT}'.

Note that the PORT value is mandatory if the default port (80 or 443) is not being used; if the Use https or Use SSL offloading setting is enabled then only https URLs will be allowed for cross-origin authentication.

Portfolio workspace in the Planning Space client application

Portfolio can be embedded as a workspace within the Planning Space Desktop client application - see Customized workspaces.

Also the Portfolio button in the tenant home webpage can be modified to launch Quorum Portfolio in place of Planning Space Portfolio: edit the application setting Applications > Portfolio > Basic > Application launch link by inserting the URL 'https://{QUORUM_PORTFOLIO_FQDN}:{PORT}'.
