Project Types
This tab is used to manage project types and specify their settings. The type determines if a project can be included or excluded from portfolios, how it will be displayed and so on. Types can be added and removed according to business requirements. You can add and delete types by using the Add and Remove buttons.
Column | Description |
---|---|
Name | Name of the project type. Names can be of any length and can contain any characters and spaces. |
Display Color | Color which represents the type on type-based charts. |
Can Divest? |
Indicates whether projects of this type can be excluded from portfolios (divested). If a project type is defined as non-divestible, the projects of this type cannot be excluded. Note: If a project type belonging to an MEG is defined as non-divestible, one project from that MEG must always be selected for inclusion. You do not need to select any projects for inclusion if the project type is defined as divestible. |
Can Shift? | Indicates whether projects of this type can be shifted. |
Can Change WI? | Indicates whether working interest for projects of this type can be edited on the Projects View tab and by optimizers. |
Can Change POS? | Indicates whether the probability of success (POS) for projects of this type can be edited on the Projects View tab and by optimizers. |
Can Be Analogue? | Indicates whether projects of this type can have analogues. |
To rename a type, double-click on its name.
Use the arrow buttons to change the order in which the types are displayed in drop-down lists in the Projects View. The topmost type is used as default when the project type is not mapped during data loading.
