Introduction to 2.17
The primary focus of Enersight 2.17 is getting data out of the system faster and easier and we've added two new features along with a few other improvements to help you do so, including:
- A new 'Export to Cloud Storage' option which allows you to export PDS data directly to an existing Snowflake stage in your environment and this export is up to 5x faster than our current OData services. Note that an Enersight OData license is required to take advantage of this functionality.
- The capability to create a Report Package to download in bulk after a project calculation - this feature uses Report Favorites so setting up the Report Package is easy and you know exactly what settings will be applied to the reports. This capability will save time spent manually selecting and exporting reports.
- A completely re-designed report generation UI to enable progressive disclosure of less frequently used options and simplify report generation. If you have a long list of reports or favorites, you'll be excited to know that you can now type to search in those dropdowns.
- Optional auto-refresh of reports, including when using groups and filters, removing the need to manually click refresh as well as enabling concurrent changes to report configuration without waiting for the report to re-load after every change.
In addition to the data export improvements, we have also completed some targeted enhancements that will improve your overall Enersight experience and fixed some high priority bugs. The following are some additional highlights:
- Power users of Risk Scripting and Script Scenarios will be thrilled with the new commands that allow you to replace an entire Well List, set of Resources, and update user data tables for a script run, allowing for far more flexibility when running risk scenarios.
- To supplement the capabilities of the Roll Forward wizard, we have reintroduced the manual method of moving a project start date into the future to put control back in the user's hands when changing project start dates.
- In our ongoing quest to modernize the look and feel of Enersight, many of the high use modal dialogs have a completely new look and more informative labels on their action buttons, making it more obvious what will occur when you make a particular action.
- We've also made a variety of smaller enhancements to improve various workflows, including the ability to report a custom calculation through the network following the flow of a specific product, fixed some high priority bugs, and added functionality to manually terminate wells and facilities based on a date or a function.
