ESP Installation

Use this job to model the installation of electric submersible pumps (ESPs) in a group of wells specifying their impact on well performance.

ESP Installation inputs

Use the list below to select the wells where you want to install ESPs. You can track power usage as well as modeling the impact installing ESPs will have on the production.

ESPs are installed on the job end date, unless the associated well completion is not yet ready. In this case, the ESP is installed the day the completion is ready.

Production Correction Table: define in this table the correction factor which will correct the well's production based on water cut.

ESP Power Consumption: define the power usage as a function of water cut. (See Primary- and secondary-fluid curves.)

Reserves Increase: define the percentage of reserve increase resulting from installing an ESP in a well. The well's performance curve will be normalized to include the Reserves Increase when the ESP is installed.

If, during the simulation, the condition for installing ESPs is met but their well has not yet been drilled, the ESP Installation job waits until the well is drilled.
