Location of PetroVR Files

• The PetroVR application must be installed using administrator privileges. It installs by default in: Program files\Palantir\PetroVR\. This directory has read-only access for normal users.
• Common data such as catalogs, images, demo files (Model Library) and Working with Updates are stored by default in: CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA\Palantir\PetroVR\. All users in the current machine have read-write access to this directory.
• User-specific application settings such as The System Initialization File (petrovr.ini) and GuiSettings.obj are stored by default in: CSIDL_APPDATA\Palantir\PetroVR\. Each user in the current machine has read-write access to their own directory.
• The default location for user projects is: Documents\PetroVR Projects\. Only the current user is granted write access to this directory.

All default locations can be modified in the Files & Directories tab of the Options (Tools menu) window.
